Get close to nature, clear your mind and rest your soul with activities such as fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and lots more! The Lodge is located in Kakamas, and is approximately 50km from Augrabies Waterfalls, and on route to the annual Namaqualand flower splendor.
The Lodge has an abundance of wildlife, such as leopards, eland, kudu, springbok, and oryx. Bird watcher will also enjoy sightings of African fish eagles, Verreaux’s eagles, and Black eagles.
Sand-dunning and 4×4 drives are some of the many activities at the Lodge. The Lodge offers full-day and half-day hiking and mountain biking adventures. The 5km,10km, 14km, 20km, and 26km routes are diverse, with the scenery of plant species, unique mountain rocks, and wild animals.
Flyfish or rod fish in the Orange River – the river site has 2 rapids, with deep pools surrounded. You also have access to a weir with a rapid. Fish species such as Smallmouth yellowfish and Blue carp can be caught at the Lodge. The Lodge has croc boats, safety jackets, and paddles available for hire. You need to take your own fishing equipment and bait, and a catch and release policy is followed.
The Lodge offers B&B accommodation, and dinner can be served on request. There are five rooms that can accommodate 2 guests per room. Relax and get together in the spacious braai and leisure area with a bar facility. All the rooms have double showers, mini-bars, tea and coffee facilities, private balconies with chairs and coffee tables, and free Wi-Fi. The rooms have spectacular views of the mountains and the river.
