Gecko Creek Wilderness Lodge, situated in Cederberg is the perfect place for an old-school outdoor experience. The undisturbed nature setting is ideal to switch off from your busy everyday life and no electricity makes the experience so much better!
The Lapa is the only place in the lodge where you will find electricity, but this is only for charging cell phones and laptops. Remember to bring along your own flashlight and extra batteries for when you need to navigate between the Lapa area and the accommodation area.
The main attractions of the resort are the long walks on the private 517-hectare nature reserve and to swim in the saltwater pool with a breathtaking view of the surroundings.
Your options when it comes to accommodation are either a tent, a cabin or a campsite. Your cabin or tent will either have 2 single beds or 1 king-sized bed, all bed linen is supplied by the lodge. The tents and cabins will basically be your sleeping area as the ablutions are between 50m to 100m away.
So, what’s to eat at Gecko Creek Wilderness Lodge? There is a large kitchen area that can be used by all guests or you can braai at the Boma. They also have catered meals available that need to be ordered in advance.
