On holiday in Cape Town and you don’t know what to do, visit a Cape Town landmark, the Castle of Good Hope and learn more of South African History. The Castel was built in the 17th century and is considered the best-preserved example of a Dutch East India Company fort.
Access fee: Adults R50.00 and children R25.00.
The Castle can be visited between 09:00 to 17:00 and is closed only on Christmas day and New Year’s day.
The Castle has three museums on their grounds, The Military Museum, the William Fehr Collection, and the permanent ceramic exhibition, FIRED.
The Castle also has an in-house restaurant, deli the Re5.
